Setting a long-term sustainability vision

Our Social Responsibility vision is inspired from Tata Group’s philosophy ‘to improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with trust’ and Tata Realty's brand proposition of “Creating hassle-free lives through sustainable solutions for building inclusive communities”. We believe in creating value for the community we work for and in empowering all our stakeholders.

Tata Realty's CSR programs endeavour to create a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030, thereby aligning our employee volunteering programs to the 17 Sustainability Development Goals (SDG’s) of United Nations.

We shall leverage our core expertise, partnerships, infrastructure, and other resources to create long-term shared value for the communities we serve, focusing primarily on underserved, socially and economically backward groups, especially women, children, youth, Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes.

Some of the key initiatives we have undertaken are:

Vocational Skill Development opportunities to socio-economically backward youth involved in the construction sector. Till now we have provided training to more than 30,000 young workers through internal and external agencies.

Aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.” This programme involves remedial coaching and upgradation of school infrastructure of schools in and around project sites like installation of water purification plants and building of toilet at schools.

Focuses on Community Infrastructure Development including providing basic utilities by carrying out repair, renovation, reconstruction and development of roads, community halls and play grounds. Our teams have contributed to redevelopment of villages and infrastructure in the events of national disasters.

Our Employee Volunteering Program is aimed at leveraging our employees in creating value for the community we work and create a better and more sustainable future. The volunteering initiative provides a platform through which employees can give back to society and support social causes that are close to their heart. This programme also provides employees the opportunities to learn from the community they work with. Our committed volunteers have contributed Highest per capita volunteering hours towards social cause in 2018-19.

TRIL through its various programmes focus on protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems, forests, reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. In 2013, we entered into a partnership with WWF- India to support biodiversity conservation initiatives in Sikkim and Western Arunachal Pradesh focussed on red panda conservation. In addition, nature Conservation Initiative in association with Bombay Natural History Society to reduce the carbon footprint & increase the green handprint, Water conservation and prevention of soil erosion by building bunds across streams in the reserve.

TRIL is committed to support  the Tata Affirmative Action Programme (TAAP) initiatives for greater inclusion of historically disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (Dalits) and Scheduled Tribes (Adivasis) by providing “due share” in their societal interventions like education, skilling (employability) and essential enablers (health, sanitation, housing etc) as also by expanding livelihood opportunities through employment and entrepreneurship.
